Best Places to Visit in Bhopal

Taj-ul-Masajid

The Taj-ul-Masajid is one of the largest mosques in Asia , built by Nawab Shahjehan Begum around a courtyard with a large tank in the centre and with an imposing double storeyed gate-way with 4 recessed archways and 9 imposing cusped multifoiled openings in the main prayer hall. The Quibla wall in the prayer hall is carved with 11 recessed arches, while the mimber is made of black basalt. The structure is enlivened by the limpid expanse of water in the tank outside the northern wall. The monumentality of this structure was much greater originally when it faced the towering bastions of the Fatehgarh Fort. A three-day Ijtima congregation held here annually draws people from all over the country.

 Gohar Mahal

Situated behind Shaukat Mahal on the banks of the Upper Lake is Gohar Mahal, which is an architectural gem dating back to the times of Kudsia Begum, also known as Gohar Begum, who built this sprawling palace in 1820. The Mahal is a magnificent expression of the fusion of Hindu and Mughal architecture.

Bharat Bhawan

One of the most unique national institutes in , Bharat Bhawan is a centre for the performing and visual arts. Designed by renowned architect, Charles Correa, the contours of Bharat Bhawan merge in exquisite harmony with the landscape creating a visual impact of spacious and natural elegance. The centre houses a museum of the arts, an art gallery, a workshop for fine arts, a repertory theater, indoor and outdoor auditorium, a rehearsal room and libraries of Indian poetry, classical and folk music. Van Vihar

The Van Vihar National Park is situated in the heart of Bhopal City . 445.21 hectare degraded hillock along with private Village land was initiated in 1980 and finally notified as a National Park in 1983.  With the dedicated efforts of the Park management this area has now been transformed into an oasis of greenery. The area today serves as the green lung for Bhopal City .
Although, having status of a National Park, the Van Vihar is developed and managed as a modern Zoological Park , following the guidelines of the Central Zoo Authority. The animals are kept in their near natural habitat. Most of the animals are either orphaned brought from various parts of the state or those, which are exchanged from other zoos. Contrary to the common belief, not a single animal is deliberately captured from the forest.

Government Archaeological Museum
A fine collection of sculptures are on display here from various  parts of Madhya Pradesh. Highlights of the collection are  paintings of various schools, copies of paintings from the Bagh caves near Mandu and the statues of Alakshmi and the Buddha. The museum is closed on Mondays.

Guidance About Mahakaleshwar Temple Aarti

Mahakaleshwar Temple Aarti Entry

We were told that the aarti begins at 4 a.m. and if we were to offer our own puja (prayer) separately, we’d have to do it after the aarti and we might spend a couple of hours waiting. There are two ways to gain entry into the temple to watch this aarti –- one is through the free entry line, where you don’t have to pay except for any offerings that you want to take in. The other is through a “VIP” ticket, which lets you into a shorter line and helps you gain quicker entry to the sanctum. Furthermore, if you’re in the free entry line, you’re allowed to wear what you want, as long as it is appropriate. If you’re in the VIP line, men have to wear the traditional dhoti, and women must wear sarees.

Mahakaleshwar Temple Aarti VIP Tickets

While everyone told us that the VIP tickets are available at the shrine board throughout the day, it is actually available only between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. Since we arrived in Ujjain in the evening, we missed this window, and had to opt for the free entry line.

The “VIP” ticket is a feature of most popular temples in India. However, the perks of the “VIP” ticket vary. In Tirupati (possibly the most popular shrine in India), for example, the free entry line has a waiting time of 12 to 20 hours, and sometimes days. Using a VIP ticket shortens the wait time to about two hours or less, essentially letting you jump the line. But, the free entry and VIP lines merge before you enter the sanctum, so that eventually there is no difference in the two entry types.

In Ujjain, however, we found that the VIP entry assures you really that -- VIP treatment.

Aarti Free Entry Line

Firstly, only a hundred devotees are allowed through the free entry line, so you are advised to join the line early enough to ensure you get through. We were told that 2 a.m. was a good time to go to the temple to avoid the rush. On arriving at 2 a.m., we found a family of 7 already there -- who’d been told to join the queue at midnight, just to be sure. Then ensued a long wait, in the bone-chilling cold. We were skeptical about the warnings of crowding until 3 a.m., when people began coming in and the line quickly grew to about 200 to 300 people behind us. There were no announcements, no signs of life within the temple, nothing to tell us that the aarti would even happen, until at 4.20 a.m. when the doors were opened to go through security check.

The waiting halls within the temple have been equipped with screens telecasting live from within the sanctum to allow people who miss the entry to watch the aarti. So while a hundred people are actually allowed into the main complex, the others are allowed to remain in the waiting hall and watch the aarti on the screen. To avoid wasting time in security check, it is better not to carry anything except your offering into the temple. We passed through security check into the waiting hall to find that the aarti had already begun, with the “VIP” entrants already in the complex. They were also allowed to participate in the first ablutions of the God.

Mandu City

Mandu City

Location: 90 km from Indore

Jahaz Mahal Mandu IndoreMandavgarh is situated at a distance of about 90 km from the Indore city of Madhya Pradesh. Popularly known as Mandu, the town is located amidst the Vindhya Ranges, at an elevation of 2000 feet above the sea level. It was originally founded in the 10th century by the Parmar rulers who made it their fort capital. Later, it was conquered by the Delhi Sultans, who named it as Shadiabad, meaning the "City of Joy". There are a host of historical monuments here which are constructed on the fusion of Hindu and Afghan style of architecture.

Mandavgarh is famous for its amazing Fort. The fort is 82 km in perimeter and is considered to be the biggest in India. It contains the ruins of palaces, ornamented canals, baths, pavilions etc. The fort was once the monsoons retreat of the Mughal emperors. Mandu has over 40 monuments which are divided into three broad categories: the Central Village Group, the Royal Enclave Group, and the Rewa Kund Group. The city is also famous for the legendary romantic tale of Rani Roopmati and Baz Bahadur which still haunts the place.

Champa Baoli - a well, the huge 15th-century Jami Masjid, the beautiful Jahaz Mahal (ship palace), Hindola Mahal or Swing Palace, the romantic Baz Bahadur's Palace, Roopmati's Pavilion and Hoshang Shah's Tomb are some of the unique gems of architecture and must see tourist spots of Mandu. It is believed that Emperor Shah Jahan took the inspiration of building Taj Mahal from the tomb of Hoshang Shah only. Mandu is an ideal place to be visited in the monsoons, when the weather is pleasant and surroundings blooming.

The mystical beauty of the monuments, amidst the sprawling lush green landscape and the purple sunset sky, paints the live picture of the bygone era. The effect is completed by the rich surroundings of mango, tamarind and banyan trees. The place is also famous for its 'Khusrani Imli', tamarind trees which bear fruit only in the rainy season and juicy custard apples. Mandu can be reached via taxis, available from Indore. You can buy beautiful Chanderi and Rewa [Maheshwari] saris here, as well as some medicinal herbs and local handicraft.

If you are a big fan of exploring the history of India and fully prepared for this adventure excursion, then what are you waiting for? Pack your bags and set out on India today and collect all the beautiful memories on your camera. If you are perplexed about how to visit and plan your trip , then send us your travel plan and requirements by filling up the below enquiry form and our tour planner will assist you shortly with all the details.

Qualities of a Travel Agent !!

Working as a travel agent appeals to almost anyone. You open doors to the world, interact with delighted customers, and receive large discounts to the best locales on Earth. In fact, employers often push you to go gain experience. Perhaps most encouraging, travel agents can set up on the internet, allowing freedom of location.

Here are some basic skills and qualities vital to becoming a travel agent:
Passion: In the travel industry, it no doubt pays to have a passion for travel, though experience is not a necessity. Fortunately, travel is not difficult to become passionate about.

Education: Most agencies merely require a high school diploma, but larger agencies sometimes demand degrees, and a bachelor's in public relations, computers, or sales always looks good on a resume. The American Society of Travel Agents presents courses and trips designed for this dynamic field, whether you plan to work for an agency or yourself. Also, check with your local community college to see if they offer programs. These days, there are even many great online programs teaching how you become a travel agent.

Fill up the form by clicking on the link and get the Best Honeymoon Packageshttp://www.asiaguidetours.com/india.html
Language: Consider learning a second language if specializing in international travel.

Certification: Check the Department of Commerce in your area to be sure there are not requirements for certification, and you may want to take a course regardless to learn the basics of the industry. If working for yourself, you will need to be certified.

Learn: Read industry material--not only to inspire passion but to keep up to date with this evolving and constantly changing market.

Computer Literacy: Strong computer skills are an asset when applying and on the job. Online bookings are a growing trend, and even with offline customers your work is computer-based. Some schools offer special courses for this software, but most smaller employers are willing to train the right person. If you want to go out on your own-an increasingly viable option in the new millennium--computer skills are even more of an asset.

Naturally, if you have asked yourself, "How do I become a travel agent," it is because you are looking for a career or business you can run from your own home (or whatever other world destination you have imagined). If that is the case, going out on your own may be your best option, and these days it has never been easier.

Top 5 Asian Honeymoon Destinations

Every newlywed couple dreams of spending a few weeks doing new things and visiting unfamiliar places. While most couples are eyeing a honeymoon in Hawaii and the Caribbean, why not choose a place that is entirely new to you and your spouse?

A honeymoon in Europe can cost a lot and after an expensive wedding, spending a lot of Euros just to visit places commonly visited by other honeymooners as well seems to be impractical. If you are looking for unique destinations that do not cost much but can equal if not rival the pleasure of a European getaway then why not take a look at what the Asian region has to offer?

India

India is an enchanting place not only for the country's philosophy but also for the exotic places you can easily visit like the Taj Mahal. Of course, you can have your fill of swimming and other water-based activities in Puri and Kerala but an experience at the Palace on Wheels will definitely be unforgettable. The Palace on Wheels is a luxury train ride that will take you Taj Mahal, Lake Palace in Udaipur and other exotic destinations.

Philippines

Next to India, the Philippines is where you can get more value for your dollars. You can choose a honeymoon package that will take you to the world-famous Boracay, Palawan and Samal Island. Boracay is famous for its white sand beaches that stretch over nine kilometers long. This place is definitely for honeymooners who only have eyes only for each other. A visit to Palawan will take you to the last frontier of the Philippines. It is the location of two World Heritage Sites: the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park and the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park. Would it be more exciting to visit the place where the biggest pearl (9.45 inches) in the world was found? And speaking of pearls, your honeymoon wouldn't be complete without a visit to Pearl Farm in Samal Island in Davao City. The city has been named one of the most livable cities in Asia. Pearl Farm has been identified as a protected fish sanctuary and it is one of the best places to go snorkeling.

China

Why not take advantage of your honeymoon and discover historical places that no one in your social milieu may have discovered yet? China is the best place to go for a discovery honeymoon. The famous Great Wall of China, which spans over 4,000 miles, is full of history by itself and has been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Make sure you include the Forbidden City (known for being the seat of the Emperor's power) and the Tiananmen Square in your itinerary.

Thailand

Exotic Bangkok is a shopping haven so make sure you drop by before leaving Thailand. However, if you have a weakness for beautiful beaches then a honeymoon in Phuket and Phi Phi Island should be on top of your list. Bangkok is the city of temples and one of the most famous temples here is the Temple of the Golden Buddha which houses the solid gold Buddha statue. Take your spouse to a dinner cruise along the Choaphaya River.

Vietnam

Vietnam's Red River Delta and the Mekong Delta have captured the heart of many honeymooners. The raw beauty of this rustic place is an ideal location for couples who want to see what's on away from the hustle and bustle of cities like New York and Los Angeles. Country life has never been so beautiful. Among the popular honeymoon places here are Dalat, the Valley of Love and the Lake of Sighs.

Discover the many secrets of Asia and make this a honeymoon secret between you and your spouse. Why not make you honeymoon a unique event by choosing the unexplored destinations of Asia as your honeymoon destination?
